Jacqueline Baron
MA, Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, NCC
I specialize in working with students and adults (18–55+) who are navigating addiction, trauma, anxiety, depression, career concerns, relationship struggles, perfectionism, family-of-origin issues, work/life balance, communication challenges, and process addictions such as workaholism, spending, shopping, or internet use. I also support women experiencing anxiety related to pregnancy, parenting, and major life transitions.
I believe in integrating a healthy lifestyle and a holistic approach into therapy while helping clients discover their own unique interests and strengths to support a sense of well-being. For those who feel disconnected from their purpose or derailed by life’s challenges, my approach focuses on helping clients reconnect with themselves and move toward a greater sense of balance and wholeness. As a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, I incorporate strategies that support the mind-body connection and guide the healing process with compassion, curiosity, and collaboration. I also enjoy working with individuals who are exploring career transitions, professional identity, and finding greater balance in their lives.
My therapeutic work is informed by Person-Centered Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Expressive Arts approaches. With a background in communications and the creative arts, I enjoy incorporating creative exploration into therapy when it feels helpful, especially for clients who identify as creative thinkers, writers, or artists.
I provide affirming care for LGBTQIA+ clients and celebrate diverse expressions of sexuality, gender identity, and intimate relationships. No matter who the client is or what they want to work on, I seek to provide warm, empathic psychotherapy that is grounded in empirically-based practices to promote overall well-being.
Before becoming a therapist, I built a career rooted in psychology and communications. I worked as an organizational consultant, helping companies navigate organizational transformation, develop strategic communication campaigns, and strengthen employee engagement. I have also coached leaders across many industries through complex communication and leadership challenges.
I earned two Master’s degrees from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology; one in Industrial/Organizational Psychology and another in Counseling Psychology, and I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations from Ball State University.
